Focus on design

The French talent and tradition of creating furniture and objet d’art didn’t stop with Marie-Antoinette. Paris has one of the longest histories in this field till today.

For a day discovering all Paris has to offer in design, start by choosing a period rich in creation:

  • 18th century

  • Empire and 19th century

  • Art Nouveau at the turn of the 20th century

  • Art Déco around the 1930’s

  • Architect furniture and early designers from the 50’s and 60’s

  • International pop movements during 70’s and 80’s

  • contemporary art design - small editions of exceptional pieces

Your day of exploration will revolve around your specific interests, whether the be in shops, galleries or auctions. city | art insider will introduce you to the dealers, antique or contemporary, and we'll stop at one of the better cafés and restaurants on our route.

By the end of the day we want you to be as knowledgeable as we are, about the the history, provenance, techniques and other information pertaining to your interests.
